Ladies Jackets - Time to Think about Investing in Ladies Jackets
It may be difficult to think about ladies jackets since we are in the middle of summer in North America. Although it has been a very wet summer and there are some attractive ladies rain jackets, most people’s thoughts are not about wearing a jacket during the hot, muggy August weather. But, school will be starting again within weeks, which means autumn is coming soon. The weather will be cooling down and women will need to think about wearing jackets again. There is a huge selection of ladies jackets available so every woman can find something she likes.
There are so many types of ladies jackets. Some are just slips of material meant to be worn over an evening gown. Those are usually made of satin or silk. Then there are light windbreakers that keep the rain off. Of course, there are also business jackets or blazers that help to dress up a work outfit. For fall, we have jean jackets, leather jackets and fleece jackets. Some have sleeves, some do not. Pea coats are good for the transition between fall and winter when it’s not cold enough for a thermal jacket. Then for winter there are ski jackets that are necessary to keep out the cold and the snow.
Some women wear coats but many prefer jackets. Ladies jackets give you more flexibility of movement. They are usually light and only reach to the hips. They are perfect for women who are constantly on the move and do not want to be encumbered by a heavy coat. They are also a choice when you want to go casual.
Jean jackets
Jean jackets are comfortable and come in a variety of colors and designs. They are the perfect addition to a pair of jeans, or any other type of casual pant, or a skirt.
Leather jackets
Leather jackets look sophisticated and luxurious. There is nothing like the feel of a soft, leather jacket and it can be worn with anything from jeans to semi-formal attire. They don’t necessarily make women look tough and rebellious; some are designed to resemble blazers.
Motorcycle jackets
Motorcycle jackets are for protection when riding motorcycles. These come in many designs and can be leather or any other strong material that resists tears and will protect the skin in case of an accident.
Winter jackets
Winter jackets are often made of microfibers or nylon. They keep women warm during any of their winter activities. Ski jackets were introduced in the ‘50s solely to wear during skiing, but their use has expanded to include all women. Many winter jackets are insulated with materials such as goose down, fleece and thinsulate. Some come with hoods, some have removable lining, but all are designed to keep a woman warm.
Fleece jackets
Fleece jackets are a good transition between fall and winter when it is just too warm for a winter jacket and too cool for a rain jacket. Sometimes referred to as winter fleece, these jackets are light and warm, but not recommended for wearing in the rain as they are definitely not waterproof. They come in many colors and designs, some come with zippers and some with buttons.
Rain jackets
Rain jackets are very light and usually made of nylon, they are wind and waterproof. Some have a hood that rolls up in the collar. They can easily be rolled up and stuffed in a purse if the weather changes.
Blazers
Blazers are the perfect way to make any outfit look business-like. If women work in a casual office, a blazer over a pair of jeans looks great. And, if they work in a more traditional office, a blazer exudes professionalism.
Whatever jackets women decide on, they are sure to find one that suits their design sense and their lifestyle. Like it or not, summer will not last forever. Women would be smart to start thinking about investing in those ladies jackets!
