Our rim at the back of the sink constantly collects water and now I have noticed the water actually leaks underneath. I wondered where the moisture was coming from. The bane of cleaning and the bane of the moisture - just another reason to update your sinks and faucets too! They make some really cool faucets nowadays.
For your information, copper is a natural antimicrobial so while it does require more care, it also is a great place to run ozonated water over your fruits and vegetables.
